Prairie willow is an attractive ornamental low-arching wide shrub, that will grow to 2m / 6’ if annually coppiced. The stems change from bright lime green in spring and summer, to an olive green at the base to red/ brown towards the tips. Good for winter colour and floristry. The leaves are oblong and elegant, turn a deep green to pinky red towards the tip. Will become a large shrub if left and grows to around ~3m tall.
