A large willow shrub or small tree usually growing to around 7-9m high, but in the right conditions can grow in excess of to 15m. This species is commonly found by streams and rivers and on wet ground. This is great ornamental variety which appeals to gardeners because of its attractive foliage and its wonderful fragrance similar to Bay leaves.
